Hank Lane Reviews: Russ Bennett Band at Carlyle on the Green at Francesca & Gus’ Wedding

January 12th, 2012

Dear Kim,

We are writing to thank you and the Russ Bennett Band for a fantastic performance at our wedding on October 2nd. From the moment Russ came up to us to introduce himself, he put us at ease. The band did such a wonderful job on the songs we requested, and went above and beyond in creating a special song written for me by my grandmother. Although given only one page of sheet music, they were able to transform a childhood memory into a very poignant and touching moment in the wedding that we will never forget.

The guests, including several musicians, raved about the Russ Bennett Band. They were able to keep the dance floor full all night, which was what we wanted. We appreciate the professionalism and extra effort to make our wedding truly special.

Thank you!

Francesca & Gus

Hank Lane Reviews: Dane Wright Band at Bubby’s Brooklyn at Paul and Renee’s Wedding

January 4th, 2012

Justin,

First off, Happy New Year!  Renee and I wanted to thank you for setting us up with the Dane Wright Band for our wedding this past Friday and all of your help putting it together.  Please also extend our thanks to Dane and the band.  We thought they were amazing and we loved every song they played.  We received so many compliments from our friends and family about how great the music and band were.

Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be, and it was a huge part due to the perfect band/music.  We are already thinking of a way to throw another party so we can invite them back and have them play for us again!

Thanks again,
Paul and Renee

PS – Dane made me do LL Cool J with Renee as my back-up dancer.  It was legendary.

Hank Lane Reviews: Michael Hart Band at Temple Beth El at David and Debbie’s Wedding

December 29th, 2011

Hal & Erik,

I wanted to say thank you so much for having Michael Hart play our wedding at Temple Beth El on December 4th. Amazing, Out of This World and ROCKIN don’t begin to scratch the surface of how great Mike and his band were. I don’t know another band that could play both Motley Crue and Jason Mraz during the ceremony procession and then play Hinder and a 45 minute horah during the party. The dance floor was always packed as the music rocked all night; it was like being at a combination of Irving Plaza and Marquee except it was our wedding! We gave him a tough task in playing everything from current hits like Lady Gaga and David Guetta to classic hits like The Temptations and Earth, Wind and Fire and then of course the always necessary 80’s hits of Poison and Jefferson Starship and each one sounded like it was a recording by the actual band!

I would tell you that I would recommend them to all of my friends, but they did that for themselves as our phones haven’t stopped ringing in the last 3 weeks. Everyone wants to know who the band was and tell us that it was the greatest party they’ve ever been to.

Thank you again for the most amazing night of our lives!

David and Debbie

Hank Lane Reviews: Michael Hart Band at Woodbury Jewish Center at Jessica and Scott’s Wedding

December 28th, 2011
Hi Michael,
I just wanted to thank you. You and your band were amazing. I loved
your song choices, playing and vocals.  Thank you for playing “Waste”
right before dinner (it sounded great) and also for letting me play
guitar on “In My Life”. I was really happy to get to sit in for that
song. All the songs sounded great.  If someone is ever asking for a
recommendation feel free to have them send me an email.

Hank Lane Reviews: Russ Bennett Band at the St. Regis at Jennifer and Philip’s Wedding

December 28th, 2011

Hi Kim,

I wanted to say thank you so much for Russ. His band was so wonderful. They did a perfect job. They were conscientious to the party and Russ responded well to all our needs. I received so many compliments on the band and how excellent they were. Many guests came up and told me how much they enjoyed them – how talented the singers were, how much they loved the harp, how much they enjoyed the songs they played, and how well they were able to play their instruments – and how well they directed the crowd. I was so glad that they were able to balance the music and figure out what worked well with for everyone. There were a a fair amount of young people there – my friends and cousins, and Philip’s nieces and nephews – but also some older people (and only 74 people total) – Philip’s friends and colleagues and my parents’ friends. I was just so very happy and so very impressed with Russ and the way he was calm and handled everything and how talented the band was.

Thank you!
Jennifer
