I just wanted to send you an email to say thank you so much for making our wedding so much fun! You and the band were amazing and now we are just trying to think of when we can have another party just so we could get you to come play.

All of our guests couldn’t stop raving about how great the band was. You played all of our favorite songs and the dance floor was always packed. Truly the highlight of our wedding!  We are seeing you at a friend’s wedding in January and can’t wait!!

Just wanted to thank you again for the fantastic effort and planning which made my 50^th birthday party a great success. The Howard Taylor Band is a polished group of musicians who played tons of my favorite Michael Jackson music and other Motown hits. They even played background music for one of my family members who performed that night. The DJ Robert was very accommodating and kept the pace and the theme of the party alive. The mood of the party started off great with the stilt walkers and jugglers while the steel drum band warmed everyone up during the cocktail hour. Then the main act, Brazilian dance troupe, kicked off a frenzy of fun and dance which was so inviting that made everyone join in and dance.

We will definitely be using Hank Lane and More Than Music again and again.

THANK YOU – you and your band were wonderful last night.  Everyone LOVED your cocktail music and I appreciated your being mindful to noise level during dinner.  I think this was the first year I was not told by the client to quiet the band down!

Your band sounded great, and you did a wonderful job keeping us all on our feet ALL night, (OR keeping up with our rather energetic crowd – who knows which came first??).  Either way, it all went so smoothly, and your music just topped off a perfect night at Capitale! Lindsay and Jon were obviously thrilled, and so were Alan and I. So many of our guests have been raving about the fabulous venue, the delicious food, AND the amazing band we had.  I know personally LOTS of people with sore feet who can attest to that!
So thanks, again…Hope to have the pleasure of seeing you at someone else’s event in the future!

Tom told me you wanted to see the picture of your guys rocking out on the dance floor. It’s such a great shot! One of my friends snapped it on her iphone. I can’t wait to see the proofs from our photographer. I’m sure there will be tons of great dance floor pics!

I can’t thank you enough for making our wedding such an incredible, energetic, memorable, fun event. I wish I could relive the whole night! I’m sure Tom already told you, but our friends and family are still talking about how great the music was. I will definitely be writing you guys a glowing review on weddingwire. I know that tons of brides pour through those review websites (I was one of them!), so I would be happy to highly recommend your band!

With the recent purchase of the Essex House, Marriott Corporation is re-branding the hotel as part of its luxury JW Marriott brand. Hank Lane Music was asked to participate in the grand re-opening celebration for New York’s iconic Essex House hotel. Henceforth, the hotel (on New York’s Central Park South) will be known as the JW Marriott Essex House. With more than 200 invited guests in attendance, the hotel held a cocktail reception for corporate clients, event planners, and Marriott executives from around the country. Several celebrities were also in attendance, including NY Knicks Assistant Coach Herb Williams, retired player John Starks, and actor Danny Aiello.

Hank Lane Music provided a cool Jazz trio in the lobby and More Than Music DJ Gil in the Grand Ballroom. There was a performance by “Art in Action” artist Brian Olson, followed by a 30 minute acoustic set by Jon Bon Jovi. Brian paints portraits of famous people including musicians, sports figures, and top corporate heads on a four and a half by six foot canvas in just a matter of minutes. You can see his creation of the Bon Jovi band logo in the background. Jon Bon Jovi led a quartet in an unplugged style of some of his famous hits including “Saturday Night,” Wanted Dead or Alive” and “Livin on a Prayer.” He finished with a wonderful rendition of The Beatles, “Here Comes the Sun.” DJ Gil finished off the night spinning some cool tunes for the crowd who hung out for more than an hour after the show.

I wanted to thank you for all of your help regarding our Awards dinner. The Mike Herman Band was nothing but fantastic, our whole crowd was dancing the entire evening. They really made it a special night.
