Hank Lane Music Wedding Reception Review: Ernest Mills Band

Wednesday, November 19th, 2014

Harris:  Once again your direction and brilliance in helping us select the perfect Hank Lane band for Bryn and Josh’s wedding at Engineer’s Country Club on November 1st was “spot on”. We’ve worked with you for close to 20 years and four spectacular affairs, and you haven’t disappointed us once.  In fact, every time we use your musicians it gets better and better and better.

Last night was no exception. The Ernest Mills Band ROCKED our guests for the entire night.  NO ONE, and I do mean NO ONE, sat in their chair, including Josh’s 83 year old grandmother!!

We started with the traditional Hora, and blew it out from there.  His range in music selection from contemporary Top 40 to Motown, to the Beatles and even Michael Jackson was amazingly stunning.  His ease to engage with our guests on the dance floor was simply FANTASTIC. He was in total control.  He is the consummate  professional.

As you know, from personally working with us for both Hayley and Bryn’s bat mitzahs, we expect the band to get everyone up on the dance floor.  Well, not only did Ernest and his team of great musicians and singers get that mission accomplished, but it was a continuous and all-night dance party.  And, I do mean continuous.  We never stopped for salad or intermezzo.  A quick break for dinner and dessert served on the dance floor kept the music pumping and everyone in a groove.

Just incredible.  As our guests were leaving we got compliment after compliment that this was one heck of a party.  Ernest made Paulette and me, Frank and Mindy look like geniuses.

Please extend our heart-felt thanks to Ernest for his magnificent performance. Bravo and congratulations to Hank Lane Music for an evening that Bryn and Josh will never, ever forget.

Best regards,

Gary and Paulette Ostrager

Hank Lane Music Wedding Reception Review: Pete Saunders Band

Tuesday, November 18th, 2014

It’s been 2 weeks since the magical day and I’m finally back from the honeymoon able to write you this brief message.  I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to work with you in conjunction for the most important party of my life!  Everything from the gorgeous sunny fall weather, the people in attendance, the details that came out perfectly and just the overall experience was nothing short of MAGIC.   Ah the music…. I never expected the wedding to become an actual “PARTY SCENE” like that — I just presumed it would be pretty formal, people slow dancing… but wow… something about the energy changed – people just felt it in the air, the weather maybe, people came alive and went crazy (in a good way) — I’ve never seen anything like that for a relatively small 150 person wedding — every guest was on their feet DANCING… It was such a powerful experience and I thank YOU and your talented musicians for making that happen…. Wow, wow and wow — Thank you so much for being part of this.

I will be in touch in the near future with a more formal thank you and some links to potential media that you might be interested in using for future wedding marketing/ promotion of your work.  I am going to be working with our photography team to submit the wedding pictures to one hopeful publication of choice – and we’ll see from there whether the photographs get selected (if they do all of your company information/ name will be credited for your efforts!)…. Lastly, once I gather the best of the professional photographs and create a facebook album/ public album of photos, I will happily share this with you to see!

Thank you again for contributing to such a successful and enjoyable wedding experience.  I loved all the people I worked with and thoroughly enjoyed the planning process.  Although the big day is now over, I am just grateful to forever have this moment in time to remember for the rest of my life – a moment that was beautiful and shared with our closest loved ones.  Thank you for working with me and giving me the best gift I could ever ask for – the happiest day of my life!  I will be in touch once I have a link to official photographs and other forms of media that you might enjoy.  I will also follow-up if there is any form of publication in bridal media.

Warm Regards,

Tara Schoen Moss

New York Times Wedding Reception: Erik Marshall Band

THANK YOU! Thank you for a fantastic dance filled wedding.   Music and dancing were so vital to us, and you and the Erik Marshall Band just nailed it!   We loved looking around at our packed dance floor the ENTIRE NIGHT! you guys know how to get a party onto the dance floor and keep them there.  Every moment of our wedding was marked by a fantastic song and a packed dance floor.

Young people, parents, sisters, brothers, bridesmaids, EVERYONE danced all night.  And, as we kept telling our guests, we didn’t even give you a play list, you just knew what to play. We can’t begin to tell you how many people complemented you and the fantastic Erik Marshall Band.  And, we of course loved the electric violin.

Thank you!

Hank Lane Music Wedding Reception Review: Jeff Lubin Band

Thursday, November 13th, 2014

Hi Stephanie -

I’ll write a formal note to Jeff and the band but wanted you to pass this along to them right away.

No surprise that the Jeff Lubin Band were absolutely fantastic and totally rocked our party. They were everything we remembered from Julia and Bryan’s wedding and more. Our guests were just going nuts over them. There just aren’t words to describe how happy we are to have had them as part of our day, they are beyond talented.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Hank Lane Music Wedding Review: Dane Wright Band

Monday, November 10th, 2014

Hi Dane,

Matt and I just got back from our honeymoon on Friday and our guests continue to flood us with rave reviews of the Dane Wright Band.  I can’t say how thankful we are to have had you all as part of our special day.  Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be (people dancing like maniacs all night long) because of you and we are so grateful.  Thank you again for making it the best night of our lives.

All the best,

Hank Lane Music Wedding Review: Michael Hart Band

Friday, November 7th, 2014

I have to start this review off by just saying WOW!  The Michael Hart Band of Hank Lane is absolutely unbelievable!  My husband and I originally saw them at a cousin’s wedding.  After standing there for 15 minutes with our jaws dropped opened and then not sitting for the remainder of the night…we knew this was the band we NEEDED to have at our wedding.

The band can either make or break your event…let me tell you this is one of the best bands out there!  Michael and his band are incredible. They have such personality — each member!  The music they play is so current and I swear if you didn’t think about it you would think they were whatever singer they are singing.  Each band member is critical to the band and brings their own special something.  Whether its the vocals (singing or rapping) or the instrumentals/beat — they’ve got it completely covered!

The band was one of the most talked about aspects of our wedding.  I had guests coming up to me throughout the entire wedding asking what their name was and writing it in their phone as well as photographing and recording them.  I even saw one of my friends grab about 10 business cards — everyone could not get enough!  They are well worth every penny and I couldn’t have dreamed of having a more packed dance floor with our guests.

Michael was a pleasure to work with.  When we met with him about a month before the wedding — he put all of my nerves to rest.  He’s so calm, patient and knowledgeable.  He actually got up in the middle of our meeting, grabbed his keyboard and played the songs we were talking about throughout our meeting right there!  I felt so comfortable working with him.  I knew we were in good hands.  He was on top of things from the minute we met him until the minute the wedding was over.  A true professional!

The band members are also top notch.  From the musicians to the vocalists, they are unbelievable.  Literally, unlike any other band out there.  When we saw the band at our cousins wedding, we fell in love with Michael and his whole band (especially Andrew the electric violinist).  They rocked our wedding and having Andrew sing and break it down on his violin was a huge crowd pleaser!!  Such talent!  This is such an eclectic band!  The whole band is so enthusiastic and just created the most perfect vibe for our wedding.  It was my dream come true.

I am so sad that the wedding is over and that I can’t hire the whole band to come and party with us on a regular Friday or Saturday night with just my husband and I in our apartment.  I can’t wait to plan another event and I have my fingers crossed that they will be playing at all of our friends’ events in the future.  I can’t wait to work with them again and will definitely be recommending them to anyone and everyone!

All my best,

Sara (newly) Cury
