Last night, the much anticipated film version of the Broadway blockbuster Les Miserables was screened at the Ziegfield theatre with an after party at the Museum of Modern Art. The Harris Lane Band of Hank Lane Music had the honor of providing the entertainment for the celebration, which was attended by the stars including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne, and Samantha Barks. Our Bobby Attiko, was on hand as well and had the pleasure of meeting Barks, who will be plays Eponine, Hathaway, who plays Fantine and Seyfreid who plays Cosette. Hank Lane Music has recently signed the Howard Taylor Band for exclusive representation. This popular New Jersey based band has been together for close to 20 years, was formerly known as “Cashmere.” Since reviews are not yet available online under the band’s new name, we are pleased to provide clients with previously posted reviews for this very same band. Hank Lane Music’s Jeff Lubin Band at the Food Network New York Wine & Food Festival “Burger Bash” 2012 Hosted by Rachel Ray.Monday, October 15th, 2012
This weekend was the culmination of the annual New York City Wine & Food Festival, to benefit the NYC Food Bank and Share Our Strength. Celebrity chefs from the Food Network, including Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay, showed their stuff over a 4 day culinary marathon, with events held all over the city. The Blue Moon Burger Bash, presented by Pat LaFrieda and hosted by Rachael Ray, featured Hank Lane’s Jeff Lubin Band as the live entertainment on the main outdoor stage. Over 30 of New York’s top chefs and restaurants prepared their version of the hamburger. Below are some pics of the band rocking out at Pier 36 in front of over 2500 people sampling the best burgers NYC has to offer.
This July, Hank Lane Music was honored to provide the music for the marriage of Cydney Chase, daughter of Chevy Chase, and Ryan Bartell. The Hank Lane Classical Trio performed Bach, Handel, and Mendelsohn pieces during the ceremony, and the Hank Lane Cocktail Trio performed during the cocktail hour. Reception music was provided by the Erik Marshall Band, pictured below.

We are so excited about tonight’s dog wedding, no bones about it! We might call it Howly Matrimony. Thank you to Wendy Diamond for including us in the pet fete, and congratulations to Baby Hope and Chilly, the bride and groomed! Some of New York’s top wedding vendors donated their services for the benefit of the Humane Society, bringing awareness to animal rescue and to help save animals from being euthanized. The Tony Awards results are in! Congratulations to all the nominees and winners for the 2012 season. The prestigious award for Best Musical went to the stage adaptation of the film “Once” by Glen Hansard, and best play went to the incredible “Clybourne Park”, written by Bruce Norris. Hank Lane Music was honored to provide entertainment last night, as we have been lucky to do for the past several years. The full Hank Lane Orchestra band was seen dancing and celebrating with celebrities such as Judith Light, Josh Groban, Linda Lavin, NCIS‘ Cote de Pablo (pictured dancing below), Treme‘s Wendell Pierce (pictured below with bandleader Kevin Osborne), and Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson. His songs have been recorded by the greatest interpreters of American standards from Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Ella Fitzgerald, to Michael Feinstein, Harry Connick, Jr., and Michael Buble. This Saturday, June 9 marks the birthday of Cole Porter (1891-1964). Cole Porter lived in the New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Towers for 30 years. His piano, where he composed many of his songs, has resided in the grand hotel’s Park Avenue lobby for many years for all to see and hear. This Saturday, the piano is being moved into the hotel’s famous Peacock Alley bar during renovations of the Park Avenue entrance. Hank Lane Music piano/vocalist Daryl Sherman will honor the music of Cole Porter, performing his songs on his piano from 7:30pm-9:00pm. Before Ms. Sherman’s appearance listen to pianist Debbie Andrews during Happy Hour and for the late night crowd, you’ll enjoy listening to piano/vocalist Emilee Floor.
