I would like to thank them for a great job at my daughter’s wedding on Saturday Oct 8th.  They were amazing and was a major reason for making it an extraordinary night.

The Jeff Lubin band from Hank Lane played our wedding in New York City and they were awesome, phenomenal – they made the party (other than the beautiful bride, of course)!!  They are outstanding musicians with great range – playing sets of 80s, current top 40 hits, 90s and some other classics.  The crowd really responded and the dance floor was packed all night.  Even if we had a crystal ball we could not have predicted how much fun and how special it would be.  Our guests have been raving about it and it is something we will never forget.  Below are a few specifics on them that provide some color to Jeff and his band:

Our reception had some small differences from the typical wedding line-up (e.g., no first dance, no father / daughter dance, no bridesmaids / groomsmen, no wedding cake) and we were concerned that the band understand these differences and help us get a good flow to the evening without some of the typical features of a wedding.  We had a meeting with Jeff about a month before the wedding and he spent a lot of time with us to understand what we were going for and help us think through some of the challenges – such as how to kick things off when most guests are waiting for a bride / groom first dance.  Jeff was very patient and listened to what we wanted and then offered great suggestions on how to plan out the night.  We were nervous on how it would play in the room and it worked out better than we could have expected.

Not only are they great musicians, they are very professional.  In addition to the special features listed above, my wife wrote new words to a popular song and coordinated with Jeff to play it during the bride’s speech.  It was a very personal touch and one that we needed Jeff’s help in executing.

Jeff nailed all must-have songs we requested and honored those we asked to be left off (such as Motown, and too many slow dances).  In addition, he suggested some ideas that were huge hits.  For example, he played an acoustic version of Pearl Jam’s Elderly Woman Behind a Small Counter . . . . and Stone Temple Pilots’ Plush that were among evening’s highlights.  A great suggestion by him that worked to perfection.

I do not even need to mention how awesome the Hora was with Jeff’s heavy guitar riffs – it speaks for itself on how the crowd responded.

Overall the band could not have been better and was among the better values we got from among the various wedding vendors.  Jeff was flexible in helping us add some personal touches but was also skilled at using his judgment to get the crowd into it.  A great performance and a memory we will cherish forever.  Thanks Jeff, we will call you in about 8.5 years to schedule our 10th Anniversary party!!!

None can compare with Saturday’s performance and the compliments have just kept coming from those in attendance.

When Jeff Lubin & his band played our wedding 5 years ago, we had the time of our lives! Which is why it was all the more great to see him again 5 years later performing at our friend’s wedding…at the same venue no less.  It is nice to know that Jeff’s band is still rockin’ the house!
 We felt like we were re-living our own big day!  Jeff played a bunch of current pop hits, rock classics, with a few fast swing numbers tossed into the mix.  Once again, the dance floor was packed all night long!

Despite the high energy of both nights, we still agree, though, that the most memorable moment for us personally was Jeff’s dinner set.  He did a solo version of  ”Sweet Child Of Mine” & “Patience” that brought the house down. In fact, everyone took out their cigarette lighters or cell phones and started waving them in the air.  It was like being at a real concert event!

 We cannot thank Jeff and his band enough.  They enriched our new life together with moments that we will never forget!

Dear Jeff and Company,

We can’t thank you enough for being our wedding band.  You guys were absolutely fantastic and displayed a level of professionalism and musicianship that exceeded our wildest expectations.  The whole night was rockin’, the sound quality was superb, and the song selection was perfect.  We couldn’t be happier.  Our guests have said that the band was “incredible.”  Those who have seen the Jeff Lubin Band before have even said this was their best performance yet.  I think you may have picked up some future clients!

Nicole and I just got back from our honeymoon. We want to both thank you and your band for the most amazing wedding. The music the entire evening was just perfect, everything we could ever ask for.  You played everything we wanted and the evening just flowed as the songs were such reflection of Nicole and I. We loved all the Bon Jovi, Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters you played.
