Hank Lane Music Performs at 65th Annual Tony Awards After Party

Hank Lane Music is very excited to have been selected to perform at the 2011 TONY AWARDS GALA. This is the first time that the company has been so honored. The gala took place at The Plaza hotel immediately following the live television broadcast of Broadway’s biggest night, The Tony Awards on Sunday, June 12. The awards show will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris live from the Beacon Theater with guest presenters including Chris Rock, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Robin Williams, Brooke Shields, Samuel L. Jackson, Joel Grey and Whoopi Goldberg, among many others. This is a big year for Broadway with new shows such as “The Book of Mormon” and “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying,” starring Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe, “Sister Act” and a great revival of Cole Porter’s “Anything Goes.”

The stars and some 2,000 other guests will head to The Plaza for an evening of celebrating and dancing until 3am! Arriving guests at The Plaza will be treated to popular Broadway standards by Hank Lane’s pianist in-residence Emilee Floor who performs regularly in the hotel’s famous Palm Court. A Hank Lane Jazz Trio will entertain party-goers in the Terrace Ballroom, while the real action will take place with dancing to a twelve piece Hank Lane Orchestra in the Grand Ballroom.

A complete report following The Tonys will be posted with more details.
