Hank Lane Music performed at the wedding of NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony from the Denver Nuggets and his longtime fiancee, the former MTV and VH1 personality LaLa Vazquez who were married Saturday night at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York before a who’s who from the sports world and show biz. There was a fourteen piece Hank Lane band who performed in front of a guest list that included the bride’s best friends singer Kelly Rowland and tv personality Kim Kardashian along with current and past NBA stars including, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Chris Paul, the groom’s teammate Kenyon Martin and his former Syracuse college coach Jim Boeheim and the latest New York Knick Amar’e Stoudemire. Also on hand were director Spike Lee, Lisa and Brittny Gastineau, R&B singer Ciara, actor and rapper Ludacris, rapper Fabolous and tennis champion Serena Williams.
Hank Lane Music also performed for the wedding ceremony with a beautiful six member string ensemble that included violin, viola, cello, harp, flute and keyboard. The R&B singer Kenny Lattimore sang his hit song “For You” as Carmelo and LaLa walked down the aisle to huge applause. The recessional, “As” was performed as a duet with Kenny Lattimore and our Kevin Osborne with additional backup vocals. Kevin also sang the couple’s First Dance, “So Amazing” by Luther Vandross. The band opened up with a long hot dance set playing classic Soul and R&B from Stevie Wonder to Michael Jackson. DJ Clue played later in the evening. The entire evening was put together by celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss. Mindy told the band, “They love you!” She said that ‘Melo commented that he had to look up during the First Dance to be sure that it was the band singing and not a recording. That’s the ultimate compliment! Kim Kardashian tweeted, “The ceremony was amazing!”

Congratulations! I was thinking of starting a marketing campaign for LeBron to hire us for his wedding when he decides to marry his children’s mother. But obviously it’s too late for that as he is leaving us.
