Yes. We customize every party and are happy to fulfill requests in advance. We are even able to learn songs we don't know! |

All of our bands play continuous live music. We don't use tapes or CD's to play on breaks. |

All male musicians wear traditional black tie. Female musicians and vocalists are in beautiful long black evening wear. For afternoon affairs short cocktail dresses may be requested.
Clients also have the option of having the band dress in non-traditional attire. |

Yes. There are always musicians within any band who play both classical music for wedding ceremonies and background jazz for cocktail hours. We also have a complete array of classical string and woodwind ensembles, such as harps, violins, etc. |

This is especially true for weddings, where Hank Lane bands perform regularly from Palm Beach, FL to Boston, MA and many stops in between including Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA, Greenwich, CT and Stamford, CT, Newport, RI and in Massachusetts from the Berkshire mountain resorts to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. While the easy answer is as soon as possible, the practical answer is that for social parties such as weddings in the prime spring and fall season, 8-14 months is customary. For corporate or charitable events that are mid-week, 3-6 months is desirable. Last minute bookings are no problem, either. |

Yes. We are able to provide a number of services and are able to give you "one stop shopping" for a variety of products and services. You can make one call for a dance band, a DJ, a classical ensemble, a jazz trio, or just a background pianist for a cocktail party. If you are looking for party entertainment or a name performer, we can provide you with that service too! |

Bands that are independent sale proprietors often do not carry the requisite public liability insurance necessary to perform in both public and privately owned venues. One million dollars in public liability insurance is the standard policy and we are fully insured. |

One of the biggest complaints about live music concerns the level of sound volume. Often times when discussing this sensitive topic, we can suggest ways to avoid complaints. For example, we may suggest using "surround sound" in a challenging setting, such as a museum or tent. |
